Begin your unforgettable day trip in Windsor, home to the majestic Windsor Castle, the world's oldest and largest inhabited castle and a working royal palace. You'll have ample time to explore this historic landmark or opt for a scenic walk along the River Thames, visiting Eton College, a renowned school that has educated many British prime ministers. After lunch in Windsor, your journey continues to Stonehenge in the beautiful Wiltshire countryside, where you'll marvel at this ancient and mysterious prehistoric stone circle, a UNESCO World Heritage site. Conclude your day with a charming stop in Castle Combe, a picturesque English village famous for its idyllic cottages and stunning bridge over 'By Brook' river, before a relaxing return to London.

Your day starts with a visit to Windsor, where we will be visiting the oldest and largest inhabited castle in the world, Windsor Castle. It has been the family home of British kings and queens for almost 1,000 years. Even today, it is very much a working royal palace.

We will have about three hours to look around Windsor Castle and the famed Windsor high street. If you don’t fancy visiting the castle, we recommend walking along River Thames and visit Eton, home of the renowned Tudor-era boarding school, Eton College, whose former pupils include 20 British prime ministers.

We have time for lunch in Windsor before we head towards West Country to visit Stonehenge in the beautiful countryside of Wiltshire. Stonehenge (ca. 2600-2400 BCE) holds the most architecturally sophisticated prehistoric stone circle in the world, using stones unique in size and how far they had to be transported from. Take stunning photos and videos. Walk all the way around the stones getting only 3 meters away. Explore the new visitor centre and its exhibition and even see some stone age huts. Then time to browse the great gift shop and get those
important unforgettable presents.

We head back to London from Stonehenge. Enroute we will stopover in Castle Combe. Typical for a village of this area, it features on the Instagram grids of every visitor to the Cotswolds. The Grade II listed bridge that crosses 'By Brook' river is a favourite of selfie-lovers from all over the world. One of the best things about Castle Combe village is that it can transport you back in time. You can easily imagine the roads being occupied by travellers using their horse and cart as they go about their daily business.
