Your day starts early for a visit to Dorset – the Jurassic Coast of England. It is the only place on earth where rocks from the Triassic, Jurassic and Cretaceous Periods can be seen in one place, representing 185 million years of earth’s history.

We traverse through Hampshire and New Forest National Park to our first destination Bournemouth, one of the UK’s best seaside resorts. This coastal town has miles of golden beaches, many seaside attractions and bustling town centre. A walk from Bournemouth Pier to Cubs beach in Sandbanks will rejuvenate your soul with a bundle of energy.

For lunch, if you’re looking for something more conventional or international cuisine, there are plenty of choices in Bournemouth. If you enjoy sea food, don’t forget to check out an array of seafood restaurants and try the local fish – a ‘must’ when visiting Dorset.

We than travel to Durdle Door, one of the most photographed and iconic landmarks. Probably the most famous natural limestone arch anywhere in the world, Durdle Door was created when the sea pierced through the Portland limestone around 10,000 years ago. Here you can spend the afternoon basking in the sun, walk along the southwest coast path from Durdle Door to Lulworth Cove via St Oswald’s Bay Beach. This stretch of footpath between Durdle Door and Lulworth Cove is the busiest in the southwest England and takes about 30 minutes up and down a steep, but spectacular, walking path.
